While growing up outside New York City in the 1970’s, I used to repeatedly see a television commercial for a clothing store called Syms (www.syms.com). Every commercial would end with a memorable reading of their tagline by the company’s founder: “An educated consumer is our best customer.” 

With a sincere acknowledgement to the marketing geniuses at the Syms corporation, we at Contigo couldn’t agree more when it comes to evaluating GPS solutions.

With “GPS providers” a simple Google search away, some resellers may think that they can make more money building a solution themselves. All they have to do is purchase a mapping software license from one vendor, buy GPS beacons from another supplier and then acquire cellular accounts from the wireless store down the street.
