Contigo Joins BlackBerry Alliance Program

Program participation will accelerate Contigo’s development of applications using location-aware smartphones

VANCOUVER, BC (February 3, 2009) – Contigo, a leading provider of turn-key GPS solutions for asset tracking, fleet management and personal safety, is pleased to announce that it has joined the BlackBerry® ISV (Independent Software Vendor) Alliance Program. With smartphones playing a more prominent role in the delivery of Location-Based Services, this program will allow Contigo to leverage the resources and tools available through the alliance program from Research In Motion (RIM) (Nasdaq: RIMM; TSX: RIM).

"Thousands of corporate and government organizations around the globe have selected the BlackBerry® wireless platform to meet their mobile communications needs," said John Tedesco, President & CEO of Contigo. “We look forward to working with the RIM team to ensure that our location-aware applications leverage the onboard GPS in the various BlackBerry smartphones to perform optimally for our clients."

The BlackBerry Alliance Program helps independent software vendors, system integrators and solution providers create innovative solutions for the BlackBerry platform. In addition to development support and dedicated technical resources, the ISV alliance program will provide Contigo with access to preview and beta software, as well as support with marketing, sales and training.
