Senior Web Developer

We are looking for a Senior Web Developer to develop the web application modules of our multi-tier, multi-tenant software applications.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of industry experience in building mid to large scale database-driven web application.
• Advanced knowledge and experience in PHP, HTML, DHTML, Javascript, and CSS.  Proficient with AJAX, Java, Struts.
• Solid understanding of GUI design, web usability and user-centered design.
• Database design experience, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Practical experience in Agile development methodologies.
• Experience working in Linux environments.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be a self-starter, organized, and detail-oriented.

Desired Qualifications:

• Proficiency with Symfony Web Framework.
• J2EE (preferably JBoss) development experience.
• Experience in developing Reporting and/or Billing applications.
• Experience in developing GIS applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain core Front End application functionality.
• Interact with other members of the Development Team, QA Team, Customer Experience Team, Product Management, and third-party vendors to complete the deliverables and to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Provide accurate estimates for work completion and regularly communicate status of the deliverables.
• Document test plans and test results.
• Proactively suggest ways we can meet or exceed our system’s performance, scalability, availability, reliability, security, manageability requirements.

Education:

• Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or related discipline.
